2nd suspect arrested in Fairhaven home invasion

FAIRHAVEN — Police arrested a second suspect — an
18-year-old Fairhaven man — Wednesday in an armed home invasion Feb. 17 on Main
Street.
Tristan Bedient of 7 Burgess Ave. is charged with mayhem,
home invasion and armed robbery.
Sgt. Kevin Kobza said Bedient was a passenger in a vehicle,
which police followed north on Sconticut Neck Road about 3:15 p.m. When police
tried to stop the vehicle, Bedient fled on foot.
Detective Scott Gordon tackled Bedient to the ground as the
suspect was running away.
Police said Bedient is also charged with resisting arrest,
disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace and wanton destruction of property in
connection with his effort to flee.
Police allege Bedient was one of three males involved in
the incident in which a 24-year-old man was slashed in the arm and facial area.
Earlier, a 15-year-old male was charged.
